Successful first advisory board meeting

After a little more than a year of project duration, the first advisory board meeting of the Fraunhofer lighthouse project »Quantum Magnetometry« (QMag) took place on June 25, 2020 - virtually, due to the corona pandemic. After one year, the project is on a firm footing.

Fraunhofer IAF establishes application lab for quantum sensors

In order to advance the transfer of research developments from the field of quantum sensor technology into industrial applications, Fraunhofer IAF will establish an application laboratory. Both the state of Baden-Württemberg and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft are supporting the four-year project with one million euros each.

Fraunhofer researchers of six institutes have joined forces to develop quantum magnetormeters for different industrial applications. The official kick-off event of the Fraunhofer lighthouse project quantum magnetometry, QMag for short, took place in Berlin on May 14, 2019.
